Construction projects range from 300m2 factory units to 12,000m2 warehouse and multi commercial developments.

We enjoy partnering with developers, plant suppliers and installers to dovetail construction with installation of specialist machinery.

Our recent works include the construction of industrial sheds, warehouses, industrial plant, civil works, railway engineering facilities and commercial office buildings. Many of these were completed in the Pilbarra, Western Australia.

Perth Core Library

Perth Core Library was built for the Department of Mines and Petroleum located in Carlisle.

The works involved demolition of existing structures containing asbestos and site clearance.

The new build consisted of an extension of the concrete core library storage area, new concrete core viewing area, including new bathroom facilities, office and kitchenette and hylogger room, as well as installation of new fire tanks, pumps and enclosure.

The new concrete core library extension was specified to have a super flat floor,  where FIRM were required to achieve strict tolerances over any 2m section. Fitout of the building included 120 bays of pallet racking at 11 levels high, core viewing tables and a specialised conveyor system.

Overall the project was delivered and handed over two weeks prior to the original contract practical completion.

Wirtgen Australia

Winner of the Australian Institute of Building Professional Excellence Award

The Wirtgen Australia facility in South Guildford was completed over a 12 month period, meeting practical completion in September 2014. The entire project had zero LTI and MTI recorded against 167 500 man hours.

Wirtgen manufactures profiling machines used by FMGL and other mining and civil companies. The project consists of steel frame, concrete tiltup, alucabond and Kingspan panelling. The G Class site required specialist concrete hardener, drainage suitable for airport operation and 250mm thick bitumen and hardstand. Client specified materials and products had us successfully procure, manufacture and import from Europe to meet the compressed program requirements.

The works included 15,000 SQM warehouse and workshop, a multi storey office, 30,000 SQM hardstand, fencing, landscaping, hazardous material storage, machine blast room, spray booth, washbay with oily water separator and a new gazetted road.

Aurizon – CEVA Logistics

Situated in Forrestfield, Western Australia, works on the logistics facility commenced in September 2012 and was handed over in 7 months.

The project includes a 7,500 SQM warehouse, office fit out, hardstand, civil works and landscaping.


Hartways Galvanising – Henderson

Constructed using tilt panel, the 5,500m2 building includes warehouse, offices and amenities.

Specialised glavanising plant was also imported from the United Kingdom together with custom made hot dip galvanising holding tanks.

Four pigeon pair gantry cranes are integrated into the design. Civil works include a 3,000m2 of carpark and hardstanding area.

All construction, fitout and civil works completed by Firm Construction Pty Ltd.


Caloundra Ave, Clarkson

Stage 1 of the Caloundra Ave Project consisting of 8 identical 2 storey warehouse units.

We have also been given the green light to commence stage 2. This project involves the design and construct of 14 factory units.


Holcim (Australia) Pty Ltd

FIRM Construction recently completed the removal and replacement of roof and wall cladding to Holcim’s production facility. FIRM Construction was firstly engaged to remove roof sheeting following fire damage, then were called back a second time to remove steel structural members and to reclad the building after the installation of new machinery

Works were programmed to allow Holcim to remain operational throughout the refurbishment.


Warehouse Developments

FIRM constructs factories, warehouses and commercial industrial developments. We use steel frame, concrete tilt up, brick, CFC, fridge panel and claddings such as Alucobond and Kingspan roofing systems.

We provide upgrading of older style buildings to meet current standards and improving a property’s NABORS rating.

Projects range from 300m2 to 30,000m2. We also enjoy partnering with end users, developers, plant suppliers and installers to dovetail our construction in with operational engineering requirements.
