Contract value: $16.5M | Location: Doubleview, Perth Metro WA

Construction consists of 9 purposely designed, refurbished and built structures, along with an additional 7 portable classrooms – all integrated into the existing landscape of the ‘old Doubleview Primary School’. Established trees have been retained and ground levels contoured by multiple limestone retaining walls. Playing courts, paved pathways, grassed areas, and new car parks surround the newly established school grounds. A high level of quality and attention to detail was maintained throughout all components of construction.

New Facilities include:

  • Secondary School Teaching Block, Administration and Science Wing
  • Physical Education Centre, Gym and Indoor Basketball Court
  • Toilet Block
  • Bin and Storage Compound

Refurbished and Repurposed Facilities include:

  • 1950’s built, original school building, staff room and toilet block refurbished and repurposed to act as the Primary School Teaching Block
  • 1970’s built, original school building refurbished and repurposed to act as the Pre-Primary School Teaching Block
  • Covered walkway connection between teaching blocks

Extension, Integration and Repurposed Facilities:

  • 2000’s Built covered assembly area enclosed and converted into music rooms, rehearsal rooms, green room and performing arts theatre
  • The extension and connection of the arts wing also created new art rooms and facilities
  • Also connected, the existing library was gutted and remodelled

External Elements:

  • Integration of sports oval with the Doubleview Primary School
  • Multiple nature play areas
  • New cricket nets, new tennis, and netball courts
  • 3 new car parks
  • Bike tracks
  • Tree espalier and grassed common areas
