This computerised facility produces Australia’s longest rail strings at 400m. Automated unloading of stock lengths are stacked and fed into the welding plant. Once welded into the longer lengths, 28 gantry cranes load them onto specialised rail carriages for distribution throughout the Riotinto Iron Ore rail network.
